Record Staff Accept Argument About New Editions

Possible unrest at The Daily Record about the imminent launch of evening editions in Glasgow and Edinburgh - and, likely, elsewhere in Scotland - was yesterday averted by management assurances it would work constructively with the National Union of Journalists to sort out any possible problems.
Staff from the title met yesterday afternoon, with concerns about shift payments, plus the impact of extra shifts on people’s quality or work, uppermost in their minds.
