McClatchie's replacement announced at News International


A former Scotsman managing director has been appointed to the role of managing director of News International Scotland, following the announcement of Colin McClatchie's resignation earlier this week.
Steven Walker, who left The Scotsman early last year following its takeover by Johnston Press, has been lined-up for the top role.

Polish Newspaper to Launch in Scotland

What is believed to be the first bilingual newspaper in Scotland for the Polish community is being launched next week.

The 16-page full-colour tabloid newspaper - Gazeta z Highland - is being published by the Northern Times weekly in Golspie and will be a free with an initial distribution of 20,000.

McClatchie Announces he is to Retire from News International

Colin McClatchie is expected to leave the publishers of, among others, the Scottish Sun, on Monday.

In a statement issued by News International: “Colin has been with us for almost twelve years and has been instrumental in consolidating our market position in Scotland and latterly in Ireland. His energy, drive and enthusiasm mean that he leaves us with strong and successful management teams in both countries. He moves on with our best wishes for the future”.
