Online readership is pushing the reach of The Herald to new horizons, according to the latest available figures. More than 300,000 now read the paper in combined print and online formats every day, one of the largest single title audiences in Scotland.

Editor, Charles McGhee, said: "Today our web edition www.theherald.co.uk has added a new permanent feature to its home page allowing readers to keep track of our growing digital success by publishing our latest online statistics. These figures are updated weekly.
It also allows you to see at a glance the most read online stories from the news, sport, business and features sections of the paper. The information is updated in real time."
